The second row runs past midnight and still counts as 3 hours. The revision round bills at a different rate from the default.

How to fill it in

Use one row for each block of work. A day with two projects gets two rows.

Questions

Does this timesheet work in Google Sheets?

Yes. In Google Sheets, choose File, then Import, and upload the Excel file. The formulas and dropdowns carry over.

How do I track revisions on a timesheet?

Give each revision round its own row with the task set to Revisions. At the end of the job you can see exactly how many hours the changes took and bill for them.

Should a video editor bill by the hour or by the project?

Either works, as long as you know your hours. A filled-in timesheet shows what each project took, which is what you need to set a fair project price next time.

Is there a way to fill this in automatically?

Cut Time logs your editing hours per project from DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Final Cut Pro with nothing to start or stop. It's free for individual editors.
